Crematorium helps Norfolk-based child bereavement charity

Money raised through a charitable scheme at a Norfolk crematorium will help children cope with the loss of a loved one.

Cromer Crematorium presented Norfolk-based child bereavement charity, Nelson’s Journey, with a cheque for £1364.95.
The donation was raised through a scheme operated by Westerleigh Group, of which Cromer Crematorium is a member.
Under the scheme all metal, including medical implants, is recycled after cremation, with the consent of the family of the deceased.
Crematorium manager Sam Dellbridge said: “We hope this donation helps them to continue to provide that much-needed support for children who are facing such difficult circumstances.”

The money will pay for five children and young people to attend a therapeutic residential weekend, and Gena Moore, corporate marketing and funding officer for Nelson’s Journey, said, “This will go a long way in the help and support we can provide to children and young people in Norfolk.”
